S5 Competitor?
The alpha is not a competitor for the Galaxy S5, but the attempt to develop a new smartphone to Apple-oriented target groups to which the giant plastic smartphone like the Galaxy S5 simply were not smart enough or suitable for everyday use.Galaxy Alpha comes with chic design, handy size and extremely thin and lightweight design.After all, remains an important advantage over the iPhone: The battery is interchangeable according to Samsung, like all other Galaxy models. The battery capacity is 1860 mAh significantly less than the S5(2800mAh).
So now there is actually a Galaxy-top model with metal frame, rectangular design and no expandable memory. In return, Samsung has adopted some of what constituted previous top models like the Galaxy S5: Instead of Full HD(1080p) resolution, there are only simple HD(720p), Only fixed storage instead of memory card slot.
Availability and price
The Samsung Galaxy Alpha is available from September in black, white, gold, silver and blue. A formal sale price is not yet announced neither by the manufacturer nor by the operators.Specifications
The Samsung Galaxy Alpha is an Android smartphone with LTE and a 4.7-inch touchscreen (resolution: 1280x720 pixels). It is powered by an eight-core processor (clock speed: 1.8 GHz Quad core and 1.3 GHz Quad core) with two gigabytes of RAM and 32 gigabytes of working memory. A slot for external memory card does not exist.
