Since android 1.5 Cupcake each version is named after a candy. A possible name for the new operating system Android would likely be Muffin. But Google may again work with a food company which happened in the case of KitKat.

The Android M might not come with a redesigned appearance, Just because Google is concentrating on connecting eHome devices such as the company's own thermostat Nest and the smoke doctor Nest Protect.

OnePlus One users might be waiting for the new Lollipop based ROM for their smartphones. The wait is over as the popular Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus has finally released its own custom ROM -- OnePlus OxygenOS, which is based on Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Last month, the OnePlus announced the official release of its in-house OxygenOS to 'One' on or before March 27, but was failed to deliver the update due to a couple of security issues discovered in the update.

The news disappointed many OnePlus customers, including me, who were looking forward to their Lollipop updates.

However, the update is now ready for downloading from the OnePlus servers. Also, a full installation guide has been provided for customers who want to switch from the CyanogenMod 11S to the latest OxygenOS.

"Developing OxygenOS has been an incredibly fun and challenging experience for all of us," the company wrote. "In this environment where everyone is fighting to standout with custom ROMs, we think it’s important to go back to basics. We place things like performance and battery life over gimmicks and bloated features."
OxygenOS comes with stock Android UI, and also adds some new custom features, such as Clear Image, and lock screen gestures. The update has been developed by the company with the help of developers from the Paranoid Android team.

Some of the customization features includes:

Ability to switch between hardware and software navigations and so on.
Customising the wallpapers.
Quick Settings lets you rearrange tiles in the notification tray and so on.
The file size of OnePlus OxygenOS is 739.7MB, and it brings Android 5.0 Lollipop to OnePlus One.
Android users can install OxygenOS now by going to oneplus.net/oxygenos, but make sure that you have a OnePlus One smartphone device.
Gizmodo China has new details of the OnePlus Two, the sequel to the very cheap, but quality OnePlus One. The new phone will be slightly more expensive than the first smartphone. Of course, there is no exact prices, but something more than the current smartphone that has just increased the price from 299€ to 349€ on the 64GB model but still much cheaper than comparable high-end smartphones.


What is new?

The OnePlus Two will most likely come with the new Snapdragon 810, This is an octa-core SoC from Qualcomm. A fingerprint scanner is included along with laser-focus technology with user replaceable battery and with an SD card slot. As usual it comes with the capacitive navigation buttons.
We can expect to see the OnePlus Two by the end of third quarter.



As WhatsApp introduced a read receipt in the Form of blue ticks in November 2014, the popular messenger has faced a Storm of criticism. Many users doesn't like to know the other person whether they read the  message or not.

The option is same like the last seen option. If you turn off the read receipt option the other users won't get the read receipts also you can't see them as well. But it cannot be turned off for the group chats.

The Huawei Ascend P7 designated as Huawei's masterpiece: Finally the Chinese producer submitted a smartphone that convinced both Technically and in Design. Now dive in to the Chinese site mydrivers.com for the first details of the successor Ascend P8.



According to mydrivers.com the Ascend P8 should have a metal back which has a porcelain texture. With a screen size of 5.2 inches, it is already one of the bigger smartphones. The display has a Full HD resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. In addition, it has a eight-core processor (Octa Core) and 3 GB of RAM. The operating system Android should serve with Huawei Emotion UI user interface.

The Ascend P8 might be in the stores for sale after CES 2015, but it is unclear. It is expected to be 2,999 Chinese yuan, which is about 390 euros.

Google's Android One initiative aims at boosting sales in emerging markets through affordable pricing and quality software.

With a price target of $100, the company has partnered with Indian OEMs Spice, Karbonn and Micromax. The Spice Android One Dream Uno is the cheapest at Rs 6,299, followed by Karbonn Sparkle V at Rs 6,399 and Micromax Canvas A1 at Rs 6,499.

Stock Android as a base

Amazon is finally ready to unveil their first Android smartphone. As the banner in the amazon website reveals that they are inviting people from all over the world for their launch event which is going to take place in Seattle on 18th of June.

Amazon is successful in the past and the present with their Kindle devices starting from Kindle paper white, Kindle Fire (1st gen) till Kindle Fire HD. They also came out with a Fire branded TV which is super cool and powerful. We’ve heard a lot of rumors regarding the Amazon Smartphone and finally we are here with their launch event banner on their website.

Amazon has a teaser video on their launch event registration website with people talking about their hands on experience of the smartphone. We don’t know exactly how the User Interface is going to be. As usual there should be lot of sensors as every smart phone has. Expecting more than the common sensors like proximity sensor, Gyro and Ambient light sensor. Depending on the price tag the front facing camera may vary in megapixels and lot more to expect from amazon’s launch event on 18th of June.
