Android Device Manager v1.3.8 Adds The Option To Call The Owner On Locked Devices

Google updated Android Device Manager app to version 1.3.8 with added new features, being specially designed for recovery of stolen devices.

Lost or stolen Android devices can be remotely locked to protect the personal data.
In addition, the stolen and lost device can dial a pre-configured phone number of the legal owner.
Moreover, if direct communication doesn't fetch any result, the legal owner can send SMS messages to the device which are displayed directly in the device lock screen.
Also, There is an option in Android Device Manager panel accessible from the web interface we can locate a lost phone on the map using the GPS coordinates provided.

Finally, if all attempts doesn't fetch any result we can request remote wipe of personal data. The operation can be completed even when the phone is off, and deletion will be triggered when the device is powered on.
