Who Will Buy My Photos?

It is cheaper for brands and companies to buy photographs from community powered stock photography services like Instagram and Flicker than from professional Photographers. Companies look for photos with creativity and reality.

Companies and Brands often prefer user generated images that are taken from day to day life. For example, Puppies, Babies, Candids of people working on something.

As every smartphone camera sensors crossed the 12megapixels mark, Your camera doesn’t matter any more. Anything with emotion and feel sells. The Resolution of a picture matters a lot. Because the photos which a brand or a company buy, might use them for large size printing where resolution matters to keep the images real estate neat and clear.

Fotolia which is a well-known stock photography biggie has got into the game with Fotolia Instant. Shutterstock might have a strict rule for contributions, but it also gives registered users the Shutterstock Contributor app for discovering what customers want and contributing to the pool. A similar offering comes from Dreamstime.

If you don’t want to sell your shots, sites like Photoshare will gladly accept your smartphone snaps for educational use.

So you need a tablet, and you need it now. Maybe this is your first tablet or maybe you've already owned a few. Perhaps you are looking to replace your laptop, or maybe you are just looking for an extra screen to use when you are on the toilet or sitting on the couch. Whatever the reason, fear not. There are a lot of good options out there. Below is a quick (very quick) guide to help you navigate the basics of tablet purchasing.

Step 1: Figure out what your needs are

What do you need to do on this tablet? Are you hoping to watch movies? Store it in your purse? Type documents? Read articles? Use photoshop? Does it need a keyboard? A stylus? A Webcam? Much like smartphones and laptops, there are a ton of differently sized tablets on the market with a varying set of capabilities. Figure out what matters most to you and write it down. What you need your tablet to do will entirely determine what model you buy. Your decisions here will affect everything that is to come.

Step 2: Choose an operating system

Android and iOS (iPad) have dominated the tablet scene in recent years, but the Windows tablet category is growing. There are also some good tablets offered by Amazon and a few others that run heavily modified versions of Android. Here is a brief look at the difference between the platforms:

Google Nexus 9

Android: Developed by Google, Android has a robust apps and content market called Google Play and comes with a huge suite of services from Google including Google Now, Hangouts, Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Maps, free turn-by-turn navigation (our favorite), YouTube, Google Photos, Chrome Browser, Google Drive, Play Music, and more. Basically, if you like Google services, Android is a good option for you. Although many of these services are also available on iOS and other platforms, the integration is smoothest on Android.

Android also boasts support for multiple user logins, which is handy if you want a family tablet for everyone to share. And it is highly customisable. The latest version of the platform, Android 5.0 Lollipop, is slick, stylish, and very user-friendly, but not every tablet will be running it (most are still running Android 4.4 KitKat). Unfortunately, the selection of apps made to specifically take advantage of tablets on Android is lacking. There is no division between Android smartphone apps and Android tablet apps, so the quality of the experience can depend on whether the developer has optimised for tablet displays. On the plus side, if you have already bought an Android app for your phone, you won't have to pay again to get it for your tablet.

Apple iPad Air 2

iOS: The iPad runs on iOS. The iPad has more than 725,000+ apps custom built for it and is currently the market leader in every way. It is still the tablet to beat in terms of quality and it has the most impressive selection of apps and accessories. If you own other Apple devices, or enjoy services like iTunes, the iPad may be a good option for you. If you don’t, well, it may still be the best option for you. The user interface is accessible and very slick, but it doesn't allow much in the way of customization.
Comparatively, the iPad and iOS apps are more expensive than Android. There is also a lack of support for multiple users and parental controls. If you have an iPhone and you've already purchased an app, you may have to buy it again to get it on iPad (some apps are universal and work on both devices, some don’t).

Microsoft:

Windows: Windows tablets come closest to offering a traditional computing experience, like you might find on a PC or laptop. You’ll be able to run full versions of software like Microsoft Office on a Windows tablet, so it may be the best choice if you plan on using your tablet for work. There are also more than 200,000 apps in the Windows Store, designed to be touch-friendly. Windows offers support for multiple user accounts, and boasts a robust set of parental controls.
As a touchscreen tablet experience, Windows is still significantly weaker than Android or iOS. Part of the problem is that it still feels like a hybrid between the old, familiar PC platform and the new tablet one. The app choice is also comparatively limited, pricey, and not as high quality.

Step 3: Features you want in your tablet

When you get down to choosing your tablet, there is no shortage of choices, but you cannot trust store employees to know what they are talking about. Here are some features that you should look for in your next tablet.

Screen Size: There are a wide variety of sizes for tablets, from 7 inches all the way up to 13 inches. There was an early wave of 7-inch Android tablets, but more recently we have seen a number of tablets that fall somewhere in between 7 and 10 inches. Everyone is different, but to us, 7 inches is a bit too small to not really be just a bigger smartphone and 10 inches can be a bit uncomfortable to hold for long periods of time. Try a few out though. The choice is yours.

Resolution: Pay close attention to the resolution. For entry-level tablets, you want at least 1280×800 pixels for a decent experience. Tablets with 1080p (1920×1080 pixels) or higher resolution are much better. You might want to look for the PPI (pixels-per-inch) to get an idea of how sharp the picture will be. For example, the iPad Air 2 has a 2048×1536 pixel resolution which translates to 264ppi, whereas the Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has a resolution of 2560×1600 which is 339ppi.

Performance: If you want to run the latest apps and games smoothly, then go for a quad-core processor. Generally-speaking, the higher the GHz, the better. You also need a decent amount of RAM, at least 2GB. The specs don't tell the full story, though, so make sure you check out some reviews and look at benchmarks to see how tablets really perform. Apple is particularly good at getting better performance out of ostensibly lower end hardware. Ultimately, the more horsepower your tablet has now, the longer it will last before it starts annoying the hell out of you.

Wi-Fi only: If you can afford the premium price for a 3G or 4G LTE connection and want to pay a monthly data bill to a wireless carrier, then, by all means, purchase a tablet with a data connection (we recommend 4G). If you need to use your tablet outside of your home a lot, there is a good reason right there. However, for the rest of you, opting for a Wi-Fi only model will save you a lot of money. You just have to find a Wi-Fi hotspot when you are outside of your house. (Not really a problem.) For the best Wi-Fi experience, look for dual-band support and the latest 802.11ac standard.

Upgrades: If you’re buying an Android tablet, you want one with Android 5.0 (Lollipop) or a clear date when an upgrade will arrive. If you’re buying an iPad, make sure it’s at least a fourth-generation model. If you opt for a Windows tablet then you may want to make sure that it can be upgraded to Windows 10. Unlike phones, tablets tend to get upgrades, so make sure your new tablet is, at least, on the current operating system when you buy it.

Battery: Ask about this or look it up. The difference between a tablet with great battery life and a tablet with poor battery life is night and day. The iPad gets 10 hours of battery life, so that is the benchmark you’re looking for in any other device. Keep in mind that if your tablet cannot hold a charge for a few days when you buy it, it’s going to be much much worse in 12-18 months.

Connectivity: What you need will depend on how you intend to use it, but generally, the more ports and ways to connect it has, the better. Make sure it supports the latest Bluetooth standard. Expandable storage via SD (or microSD) could be nice, USB or MicroUSB is essential, and Micro HDMI is nice as well. You may want NFC support, and wireless charging could be worth considering for convenience.

Storage: You often find that Android and Windows tablets offer expandable storage. Adding more space with a microSD card is cheap and easy. Apple and Amazon don’t support microSD cards in their tablets, so you really need to think carefully about what model to buy. If you are downloading games and storing movies, 16GB can fill up surprisingly quickly. You can find some free cloud storage on each platform, but that won't suit everyone.

Webcam: Only you know if a rear camera is important to you. If it is, you’ll probably want to get an iPad. We only recommend that you make sure it has a front-facing camera you can use as a Webcam. You never know when Grandma will learn how to Skype.

Keyboard: There are a host of Windows tablets that allow you to dock your tablet into a keyboard, so you can type more easily. If you want to replace a laptop, then that could be important. You will also find Bluetooth keyboards out there will work with any tablet. If typing is something you plan to do, then make sure the tablet you choose has a good option for an external keyboard.

Facebook messenger no longer requires a facebook account. From today(24th june), New messenger users in the United states, Canada, Peru and Venezuela can sign up using a full name and phone number.

Messenger can still be used with a Facebook account. To import the contacts the new users can use "Log In With Facebook" button on the start screen.Signing in with a name and phone number won't sync your chats across devices. Facebook says the aim is to reach more people. Its worth noting that while creating a Messenger log-in won't import contacts, the rest of Messengers services like video chat and stickers remain available.

A messenger without a linked Facebook account is more beneficial for businesses. A business could link any phone number to messenger.

Here’s how it works:

  • On the Messenger welcome screen, you will now see an option that says “Not on Facebook?”
  • From there, you can sign up with your name, phone number and a photo.

For those who have Facebook accounts, there are many benefits to using your Facebook credentials when signing up for Messenger. People can easily message with their Facebook friends and contacts, access their Facebook messages and take advantage of multi-device messaging across mobile devices, the web and tablets.

The ZTE Blade S6 best resembles the apple iPhone 6. Everything from the name to be designed by ZTE in california text on the back cover. This is in a lot of ways a knock off of the iPhone 6. This is not a bad device and it does offer a couple of major features that the iPhone 6 doesn't have. Such as a relatively cheap two hundred and fifty dollar off contract price tag and Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Start with the design it's constructed with plastic throughout the entire device, it's light weight, fits comfortably in the hands and you can access the power button and volume rocker with really no problems at all. There is a microSD card slot and SIM card slot on the left hand side. There is a 3.5mm jack up top and a micro USB charging port down below the bottom. The front is home to a 5-inch 720p IPS display with capacitive touch buttons below.

The back also does have a 13-megapixel camera sensor and flash with the ZTE logo  on the plastic back cover. The hardware overall isn't terrible but you know that the phone is made up of plastic and it does feel cheap and it doesn't give any sort of premium feel.

The reason why you should purchase this device is because of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor and the Android 5.0 Lollipop software. The Snapdragon 615 is a 64bit octacore processor and with 2Gigs of RAM. The only thing it's missing is the app drawer. This means all of your apps are placed on the home screens. Coming to the battery it is equipped with a 2400mAh non removable battery.
According to Google's Android Lollipop, the updated version 5.1 is not even at 10% of all android devices.

Android M: Muffin, marshmallow or Milka?

Since android 1.5 Cupcake each version is named after a candy. A possible name for the new operating system Android would likely be Muffin. But Google may again work with a food company which happened in the case of KitKat.

Android M: What's new?

The Android M might not come with a redesigned appearance, Just because Google is concentrating on connecting eHome devices such as the company's own thermostat Nest and the smoke doctor Nest Protect.

Smart home
Android 5.0 Lollipop already focuses on consolidating everything Android has brought us thus far and makes attempts at providing a more stable and quality-assured platform.
On the broader front, the Smart Home will be an increasingly important feature of Android, with complete control over your connected devices at home and in the office via Nest and other third-party makers.
Security
With smartphones being increasingly used, Security is something which grows ever-more important. Google recently introduced a “find my phone” feature to Chrome, and a “kill switch” option in Android 5.1 to make stolen phones useless, so look out for further security enhancements on Android M.

It is likely that Google will present a first preview version of Android M at the developer conference Google I/O 2015.

WhatsApp is rolling out the voice feature to all android devices. WhatsApp is the most popular messaging app in the world with over 700 million monthly active users, recently introduced this feature and initially it was available to only a handful of users.

Google has released a new developer tool called App Runtime for Chrome (ARC) that allows Android apps to run on Chrome for Linux, Windows, and Mac.

Google Chrome's ARC app can now run any of your favorite Android apps like WhatsApp, Candy Crush, Viber, all from your Chrome web browser.
ARC operates via some special runtime implemented using Native Client (NaCl) technology.

Google ARC tool is based on Android 4.4, but there are some limitations:

you can load only one app at a time
you have to select portrait or landscape layout
you need to choose, whether you want the app to run on phone- or tablet-style.

How To Run:

Install the latest Google Chrome browser.
Download and run the ARC app from the Chrome Store.
Add third party APK file host.
After downloading APK app file to your PC, click Open.
Select the mode -> "Tablet" or "Phone"
Then click "Launch App".

I have personally tried this tool before writing, and some of my favorite Android apps work pretty well.

Many of you around the world are off work today for a long weekend. We hope to make your vacation even better, because OxygenOS is finally here!
We know you’ve been patient, and we’re excited to announce that starting right now, you can download and flash OxygenOS right to your OnePlus One.

Be sure to check out oneplus.net/oxygenos for more information.

OnePlus One users might be waiting for the new Lollipop based ROM for their smartphones. The wait is over as the popular Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus has finally released its own custom ROM -- OnePlus OxygenOS, which is based on Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Last month, the OnePlus announced the official release of its in-house OxygenOS to 'One' on or before March 27, but was failed to deliver the update due to a couple of security issues discovered in the update.

The news disappointed many OnePlus customers, including me, who were looking forward to their Lollipop updates.

However, the update is now ready for downloading from the OnePlus servers. Also, a full installation guide has been provided for customers who want to switch from the CyanogenMod 11S to the latest OxygenOS.

"Developing OxygenOS has been an incredibly fun and challenging experience for all of us," the company wrote. "In this environment where everyone is fighting to standout with custom ROMs, we think it’s important to go back to basics. We place things like performance and battery life over gimmicks and bloated features."
OxygenOS comes with stock Android UI, and also adds some new custom features, such as Clear Image, and lock screen gestures. The update has been developed by the company with the help of developers from the Paranoid Android team.

Some of the customization features includes:

Ability to switch between hardware and software navigations and so on.
Customising the wallpapers.
Quick Settings lets you rearrange tiles in the notification tray and so on.
The file size of OnePlus OxygenOS is 739.7MB, and it brings Android 5.0 Lollipop to OnePlus One.
Android users can install OxygenOS now by going to oneplus.net/oxygenos, but make sure that you have a OnePlus One smartphone device.

First its a part of USB 3.1. The benefits of USB 3.1 type C is that it is a Charging USB port. It provides more power with which you can charge your computer using the same port and can charge other devices back using the same port. It is robust enough for laptops and tablets. Also slim enough for smartphones offers powers up to 100 watts or 20 volts which is plenty for a notebook and had plenty of benefits on the data transfer speed as compared to USB 3.0. The data transfer speed in the  USB type C devices is up to 10GBPS, up from 5 GBPS from USB 3.0. The data transfer is high enough that you can attach HDMI or VGA in this port with adapters and plug in any way you like, So you don't need to look at the USB port in which way to plug it in.
Gizmodo China has new details of the OnePlus Two, the sequel to the very cheap, but quality OnePlus One. The new phone will be slightly more expensive than the first smartphone. Of course, there is no exact prices, but something more than the current smartphone that has just increased the price from 299€ to 349€ on the 64GB model but still much cheaper than comparable high-end smartphones.

What is new?

The OnePlus Two will most likely come with the new Snapdragon 810, This is an octa-core SoC from Qualcomm. A fingerprint scanner is included along with laser-focus technology with user replaceable battery and with an SD card slot. As usual it comes with the capacitive navigation buttons.
We can expect to see the OnePlus Two by the end of third quarter.

As WhatsApp introduced a read receipt in the Form of blue ticks in November 2014, the popular messenger has faced a Storm of criticism. Many users doesn't like to know the other person whether they read the  message or not.

The option is same like the last seen option. If you turn off the read receipt option the other users won't get the read receipts also you can't see them as well. But it cannot be turned off for the group chats.

The release of final version is not yet revealed as it is found only in beta version. There might be a new end to end encryption feature coming to WhatsApp in near future.

As Facebook forced it's users to use messaging with an additional app,  many were dissatisfied. Now the plan behind the step is revealed.

Messenger is an all-round communicator

It's clear that Facebook is expanding its short message service Messenger with new features with shortcuts to simplify with other apps sharing animated images,  videos and other multimedia content.

Chat, Advertise and Buy

In addition, companies can communicate with their customers via messenger. For example, online retailers could send the shipping information to buyers over Facebook.
With its expansion plans Facebook wants to make its users to spend more time on their platform and move parts to their daily communication, for example,  from the email in the messenger. Facebook has about 1.4 billion worldwide users,  the messenger with 600 million users.

360 Degree videos and nonstop playback function.

The Facebook users get a new video player. The Facebook is increasingly offering to upload videos directly to itself and thus enters into competition with the Google's YouTube. In addition, video advertising is becoming the focus and app developers get free software tools to evaluate the activity of its users.

It has a beautiful 5.7 inch HD display, Crystal clear for viewing and amazing for outdoor readability as well. It sorts a 13 megapixel Zeiss optics on the back with LED flash and it has a 5 megapixel front facing Camera with wide angle lens so it can fit all your friends or family in the selfie comfortably and great during video calls on  Skype. This device shops with the latest version of Windows denim update and it is upgradable to Windows 10 as well. The phone has a totally new camera user interface as the new denim update changed it. It comes with an office 365 subscription completely free for one year and a 1TB of space on one drive to save your documents, photos, videos and can be shared with your lover ones. The built-in skype application gives you 60 minutes of Skype calling free for one month.
This will be available in both 3G and LTE variants with single sim and dual sim versions. It has the amazing battery which comes in at 3000 mAh. Coming to the processor, It has a Qualcomm 1.2GHz Quadcore snapdragon with 1GB of RAM and 8GB onboard memory and can be extended upto 128GB through microSD slot. This will be available in the market in the end of April or early may.
First and foremost this is completely a new design. This is a completely different device constructed out of aluminium and glass. It feels really good.
Immediate reaction when seeing the galaxy S6 and S6 Edge for the first time exactly it looks familier. It's like some how the galaxy S5 got knocked out by IPhone 6. Now came the Galaxy different looking pro.

These are both equal full fledge flagship smart phones. Aside from the actual edges on the S6 Edge and a slightly larger battery everything is literally identical. As I mentioned before they both share the same screen but they both also share the same processors, 16MP rear camera, 3gigs of RAM and both are running lollypop. So really it comes down to whether or not you will take advantage of those edges. Where as in  Galaxy Note Edge you are limited to one side, but this has two sides. You can  actually choose which side you want to text to your contacts. The edges display the time. The advantage is it can reduce the power consumption. It is very similar to Moto X active display notifications. The edges can be colour coordinated with your contacts.
Display:
One hand ability is on point and Samsung bump up the resolution on S6 and S6 Edge without increasing the screen size. They both feature a 5.1 inch QuadHD Super Amoled display with a resolution of 2560×1440 which is the next step above 1080p. So as a result you get a crispier image in a same amount of real estate as  the galaxy S5 for example and a pixel density of 577 ppi (pixels per inch).
Battery and Memory:
The freedom to swap in and out the batteries and micro SD expansion are gone. The S6 Edge has a slightly larger  battery coming in at 2600mAh. Where as the standard S6 with 2550mAh. What I think is the slight bump in the  battery is  to compensate the actual edges in the Galaxy S6 Edge. Both come with the 3GB of RAM. The Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge start at 32GB as the base model.
Camera:
As compared to S5 they upgraded the front facing camera from 2MP in S5 to 5MP in S6 and S6 Edge. They are also getting a lower aperture on both the cameras (front and back) at f1.9 and that's gonna improve the low light performance of both the cameras and a  blurred background look on a closeup shots. It also has the tracking autofocus with which it can lock the focus on a moving object.
After Cyanogenmod worked out an exclusive deal with the Indian smartphone manufacturer Micromax, an Indian court temporarily banned Cyanogen powered OnePlus One in the country. The ban was reversed until 7th of January, as the court ruled out that the low priced Yu smartphone is not a competitor to the flagship smartphone OnePlus One

Recently, OnePlus announced that it was working on its own build of Android(Probably Lollypop 5.0). An alpha version of the Android 5.0 build is available to flash but it need a TWRP custom recovery to be installed on the handset. You can find  instructions on how to install the TWRP custon recovery and how to port the android lollypop in to the device. Back up all of your data before flashing. There is a chance of bricking your phone.
For people who use a lot of battery sacking apps like maps, High Definition video and Gaming apps, There is a chance your phone might run of juice than your Apple watch.
